That sure is nice, and sharpens a chain in 3 seconds!.. Made by Oregon is a good thing because they make good products!.. The video in the link was helpful to be able to see how it works!

I've been cutting a lot of firewood in the past 2 weeks, and had to sharpen my chain in the field a lot.. I was looking at the 12-Volt DC sharpeners at TSC a while back.. But I like this ''Power Sharp'' a lot better!

Anyone use a 12-Volt DC or any other kind of electric sharpener ??

I will investigate this when I get back.....sucky part is you need to use that bar, chain that is specific to use the power sharpe sharpener.

Already have significant stock piles of bars and chains....however it looks promising and worth looking into

Yeah, The bad part would be that you have to use a special bar & chain.

I just bought my new Husqvarna 455 Rancher last April, and I'm still using the ''Husqvarna bar & chain'' that came on it... When it wears out, I was going to put a Oregon bar & chain on it, Because that's the brand that I have had great results with, and always use!

I could replace it with the bar & chain so I could use the ''Power Sharp''... But I wonder what the price would be!.. May be able to buy another chainsaw!.. I'm going to send them an Email and get a price on everything.

I sawed up a large Beech and a large Oak yesterday, and had to sharpen my chain 3 times!.. When I sharpen my chain in the shop, I put the saw in a vise.. Out in the field it takes a little longer!, and can be muddy conditions!

I like how the Power Sharp attaches to the end of the bar, and that it only takes 3 seconds to sharpen a chain!

I do wish they made the chains just like the Ginsu knife that never needs sharpening . I hate stopping mid stroke while cutting and taking the time to sharpen

it's a pain in the arse

Yeah, I wish they made a chain that never needs sharpened!, and I too hate stopping just to sharpen a chain!

From what I can find out about the ''Power Sharp''.. They don't even have the kit for a 20'' bar!.. So I guess I'll keep using a file to sharpen by hand, or buy a 12-Volt sharpener.

    Sawed wood all day yesterday!
