Hi guys,
Had someone point out a price on a 4110 with loader at this place and ask me if it was a good price.
Wallace Tractor and Equipment NEPA Compact Tractors Lake Ariel Poconos Honesdale PA
Price on Wallace's site is 17,999 new with a loader. Details are quite a ways down the page. Went to Mahindra USA and full retail seems to be around 23K.
Is Wallace's price of 18K a good one ?
Thanks for any help
Tom
Hey Paul,
Actually, when I had my Cub shipped up from Ohio, I didn't find it too, too bad in shipping. Now that I know a few more things, there are some issues that I would deal with differently but overall was ok because I used a customs broker and their shipper so someone else did all the work.
However, the pricing info request was from an aquaintance in Buffalo so he would have less issues than me.
Take care and have a good one

Total Travel Estimates from Buffalo, NY to Lake Ariel, PA: Time: 4 hours 51 minutes Distance: 289.85 miles seems a bit long for warranty work...
MSRP of a 4110 w/o loader is $19,339...so the question is what does a loader cost and would a local Mahindra dealer match these numbers?
I don't know how thrilled a Buffalo, NY Mahindra dealer would be doing warranty work on a brand new tractor NOT sold by them...![]()
Hey Paul,
Sounds similar to a conversation I had with a Bobcat dealer on Friday re service. His attitude was, if you don't buy from me then I don't have to service it.
And if someone from another area calls for a quote, he readily admits that he quote full retail.
If they tell him that he is expensive, he tells them to see their local dealer.
I do have some difficulties with those kind of attitudes since local dealers with these attitudes will then miss out on purchases of attachments and all the other junk that we buy.
But hey, that is just me.
Distance to me is just another number to be factored in and dealt with. As I said, my Cub came up from Ohio and I bought for a # of reasons but price was definately 1 of them.
Later and have a good one.

Rick Wallace is a great guy and, in my opinion, the TYM-made Mahindra 4110 w/KMW ML112 loader is a fine tractor/loader combo. I know that my former backhoe mentor old LarryRB will tell you different... and the old Edster will tell you to buy a 4530 instead... but mostly these guys are just goofing on the poor old Dougster™.
The problem is that this 4110 unit (or units?) that Rick Wallace is selling were bought directly (or transferred in via MUSA) from a failed/bankrupt Mahindra dealership (name and location unknown). My guess is that there is some "history" here to deal with here. I'd ask Rick to provide the 4110's serial number(s) so you can figure out (with my help) exactly when it/they were made. It/they could easily be well over a year old... and remember that the red paint on these Mahindras fades fast to an ugly dull pink if left parked outside in direct sunlight for too long.
Call me suspicious but Rick keeps dropping the price on these units and, apparently, they still aren't selling. I would want to see it in person before I would put down a single dollar on it.
Important Disclosure: I am not big on multi-year-old new tractor "leftovers"... so consider me to be considerably biased in that regard.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the input. Will relay the info on. Have told this guy to join the board himself and get the benefit of all the collective experience here. May do so soon.
Dougster, biased against unsold multi year old new ?? Any real reason if the prices are right ?
I also agree that the Bobcat guy here certainly would not be my dealer. Just have a bit of a problem with the attitude. I have a bad enough attitude on my own so don't need to be subjected to someone else's that appears worse than mine.
Thanks again and take care
Tom
It's a personal thing Tom... a position I've come to from my own observations and from owner reports I've read on the various websites. Your mileage (and attitude on this) may vary and that's perfectly fine with me... but I'd rather buy a well-cared-for-and-well-maintained used machine than a multi-year-old leftover that's been shuffled from failing dealer to failing dealer until it must be dumped at a loss before it rusts out from lack of care.
Oddly enough, this strange "personal bias" of mine does not necessarily extend to construction machines. I have actually gone after (i.e., bid on) some "leftover" construction machines rather aggressively. For one thing, white and yellow do not seem to "mature" in the sun as poorly as red, orange and blue......but the real issue is whether or not these machines have been properly stored, maintained while in storage... and, most importantly, been kept reasonably free of shopper mischief. In the case of CUTs and other "consumer" tractors, the shopper mischief factor can run very high.
