Default Another familar name...

Thanks to Paul Christenson for sending me over in this direction! I solemnly promise to behave myself and stay out of trouble... honest!

For those who don't know me... I'm a 57 year old "semi-retired" mechanical engineer trying hard to survive as the owner/operator of a 2 year old "residential excavation and grading" business located (for now) in Eastern MA. I own a 2004 Mahindra 4110 equipped with an FEL and Bradco 509 backhoe. I am looking to double the size of my "fleet" with at least one new (read: slightly used) dirt digging acquisition this spring. One of my main reasons for being here is to continue to refine my business plan and service offerings... with a particular focus on choosing the right second machine or, alternatively, modifying & upgrading my primary machine, with the aim of maximizing my profit (or at least minimizing my losses).

For those that do know me... sorry, I'm here anyway!
