Points: 0 | Ok folks, here is the update. Stopped by the dealer on Friday. It seems that I need to deal with Titan. Dealer told me that I need to take up warranty issues with the tire supplier. Not a happy camper right now.
Talked with an authorized Titan dealer this morning and he has a call into Titan rep now. Get this the authorized Titan dealer is in Worcester MA. That's only about 180 miles from the house.
Playing the waiting game now.

Playing the waiting game now. | That's just plain crazy Ed. What about this guy listed in Titan's dealer look-up (albeit for "Goodyear by Titan" aggie tires): MAX FINKELSTEIN INC.
9 GENDRON DR
LEWISTON ME 04241
Can he help or would that be breaking some unwritten rule???

Dougster™ | Not sure. Dealer told me it had to be an authorized distributor to get warranty. The one in Worcester is the one he deals with. I'll wait to see what the guy says when he calls back. If I have to take them to Worcester it's not that bad. I'll just take a side trip on the way down on a Monday. But once I give up this cushy job of mine it will be a problem if I have to go to Worcester for service.

How are you going to get them hefty monster tires into your truck or trailer???

Dougster™ | Front's are light. No problem gettin them in the truck. Hey question for ya. How is the weight of the tractor distributed to the front and rear axle. Is it 50/50 or something different. I was running some numbers in my head while sitting in traffic and me thinks Mahindra may have a problem on their hands.

I was thinking monster rear tires. This is a front tire problem. My bad. This will be a piece of cake for you!
Not sure what you mean Ed on weight distribution. Obviously, it is going to be way different depending on what the tractor is doing... for example, carting around a 2,000 lb backhoe or a hefty bush-hog on the 3-point vs. running around with the FEL loaded to (and beyond?) the max! What's your concern???

Dougster™ | My concern is this. Max load rating for the front tires Mahindra put on the machine is 1650lbs each. That would give you a max load on the front axle of 3300 lbs.
Machine weighs in at 5720 lbs. Loader is about 2000 lbs with a lifting capacity of 2950 lbs. Thats a total of 10,670 lbs. Even if you do a 60/40 split that puts 4261 pounds on the front axle, which exceeds the load rating for the front tires.
Someone asked if I had been overloading the front tires and I said no. But do the math and you might say that I have exceeded the load rating of the tire.
If that's the case Mahindra is going to be putting the correct load rated tires on the front of my tractor.

I can put my whole tractor weight on the fronts (which I do at times when I overload the FEL without the BH mounted) and still have margin. Dougster™

Here's Titans info on my front tires: Titan® 2006 Tire catalog
Remember Doug you have Industrials on the front, and I'll bet there're 12 ply.
