Default NH Forums are always "low activitied"

To All the "Blue People" out there I just posted this to make us look like there is activity here. I have no concerns and/or complaints about my tractor. It is running well. I did wish that I had chains on my weighted R-1's a couple of times this winter. Everytime I did get "briefly stuck" I was able to get out of my predicament out with my FEL. Jay

Don't worry Jay. You "blue folks" have the Lone Cowboy here and on your side with his two NH machines (not to mention his M-F). That's like having at least four or five normal people!!!

It's a marque that I really know very little about. In the section of CT where I live, the dealer is a zero. Twice when I was in the market for a CUT and contacted them, I was told the salesperson I had to talk to wasn't there but would contact me if I left my name and number. Twice I never received a call back. Now I'm sure this experience could have happened at any color dealer, but it's the reason I know very little about blue.

Maybe you could post some of your likes and dislikes?

Cheers

That's amazing
They probably wonder why they don't sell much either.
A dealer is the key to any tractor sale. Doesn't matter if one color or another is the best tractor if your local dealer blows. You should go with the best dealer, then pick the best tractor from what they have.

NH: best ergo's
spendy, but not as spendy as green.

Funny, but true story: Two years ago during my initial tractor/TLB shopping, having found my local Kubota dealer's prices to be what I perceived as totally out of sight for what I wanted, I traveled North to the land of "Live Free or Die" and stopped at Chappell Tractor in Milford, NH where I'd heard the Kubota prices were a somewhat more reasonable... plus no sales tax!

After looking around at all the nifty Kubotas and them funny smurf colored tractors as well, I finally got in to see the salesman. We went through the various Kubotas under consideration and come to find out, Chappell's prices weren't all that different from my local Kubota Palace... a few dollars cheaper maybe (and no sales tax, of course) but nothing that was gonna make any real difference.

Realizing at that point that a Kubota was always going to be well outside of my affordability range, I shrugged my shoulders, looked outside through his window, pointed and said: "Okay, how 'bout one of them New Holland Tractors instead? I hear they are pretty good tractors too."

I will never forget the salesman's look of death... and his slowly delivered line: "Mister Dougster, if you can't afford a Kubota tractor, you sure as hell can't afford a New Holland tractor." He went on to explain that pound for pound, HP for HP, that smurf blue was even MORE expensive than Kubota orange.

I left for home that afternoon feeling very dejected... fully believing at that point that I would probably never own any tractor that could meet my needs and my budget.

It just struck me as funny I guess. The dead seriousness of his look and tone. Like some kind of vampire horror movie. At that time, I had honestly thought smurf blue was somewhat cheaper than orange. Hey... sorry! My mistake! Boy was I ever slapped down hard!

BTW, I realize you may not know this since you don't own a high and mighty New Holland
But it's
ROYAL BLUE

not smurf blue.

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.
