Well Paul, you know how I feel about your pal George Soros.
I feel almost the same way about his more colorful friend and former partner.

Sick as things are in this country right now between the mortgage crisis and these insane fuel prices, I don't think that letting Fannie and Freddy go bankrupt and out of business is the answer to anything.

Well, if you think you live in Taxachusetts now, wait until the increased tax bills hit your door (and everyone else who has tried to live within their means) for the cost of these BAILOUTS!!!...

well it will have a real serious trickle down effect - we really don't want the entire industry to collapse overnight do we? remember we shifted over to a service economy (mfg was sent overseas). If they let the Wall street collapses to happen, what do you think will happen to the rest of the world? everything is to closely tied into each other.
You think times are tough now? if you let everybody go bust, how much better do you think it will get for you?

Chit we bailout countrys and thats ok and you guys dont bitch about that but when it now effects 10 of thousands of jobs and the entire economy, you guys have a problem. Cant have it both ways....

Unfortunately, since this country has gotten into the "can't let it fail" mode...The rich are insulated from risk...which causes some of them to become very greedy...

One aspect that these people advocating "can't let it fail" have NOT examined closely, WHAT HAPPENS, IF AFTER ALL OF THE ASSORTED BAILOUTS...we still slip into the dumper???...Now it is the US Tax Payer that is on the hook for these debts and not the original greedy bastards that brought us to this financial disaster...

You have never heard me supporting bailouts of countries to the expense of US citizenry...The biggest joke of most Foreign Aid is that it is WELFARE PAYMENTS to CORPORATIONS!!!...Okay...CHAD...please spend your foreign aid dollars on JD tractors and Catepillar bulldozers and US Wheat...or better yet Northrop Grumman weapon systems... or McDonnell Douglas helicopters...Ooops...I meant Boeing weapon systems...
