I have a Garmin Nuvi , its one of the ones that
the girl talks to you , and tells you street names.
it has never failed me. took me in and out of the back woods of
Ten. from my place. round trip 600 miles.round trip, and without it.
i cant find my way out of my own town..

When I first moved to the Puget Sound area, my brother & I mapped a road trip around the Olympic Peninsula using an early version of Rand McNally mapping software. Turns out the route it calculated for us included a hiking trail across the Olympic mountains that basically cut the actual drive time in half. Unlike the folks mentioned above, we did not attempt to drive on the calculated route! Instead, we wound up doing a lot more driving than we planned, and I had an angry sister-in-law seated behind me for most of it. |
