Nope, NOPE, NOPE!!!

You'll notice that I picked everyone for their proposed position(s) based on their special and particular skills, interests, quirks and personalities as demonstrated (or at least claimed) here on the MU!

In Mickey and Mark/Ohio's cases... It was important to have someone solid over at State that I could trust with overall world views and reasoned thinking generally in line with my own... not to mention folks who are VERY GOOD with their cameras!

In Edster's case, I needed someone who could bale the hay, slop the hogs, feed the moo moo cows and change the flat tires on a big red tractor (with a little help from his trusty rusty handtruck!!!).

Naw...Secretary of the Interior is Great! It was just a little higher on the 'line of succession' list than I felt comfortable with...but, then I thought...they'd have to go through you to get to me!!!
Besides, if I was in charge of BATF, my first act would be to disband it!!!

  • Kenny for White House Chief of Staff
  • The Ducster for Secretary of Commerce
  • The Gunmaker for Secretary of the Interior
  • The Lone Cowboy for Secretary of Transportation
  • LarryRB for both Secretary of Homeland Security and Secretary of Veteran's Affairs
  • The crazy old Edster for Secretary of Agriculture
  • Timster (Irwin) for Secretary of Labor
  • Paulster (yes, again!) for Secretary of the Treasury
  • Sam Walton for both Secretary of Energy and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
  • The Deanster for Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency
  • Mighty Mouse for Secretary of Defense
  • Fredster for Commissioner of the Social Security Administration... and,
  • Chris2520 for Director of the National Drug Control Policy!!!
I have not picked a VP yet. Can't decide between David Bassler (for his fearless & totally amazing L39 digging skills) and Theweldor (for his rather obvious & critically helpful skillset)!!!

Line of succession????...Bite your tongue...

PRESS REPRESENTATIVE: Who is making the decisions for the government right now? Who is making the decisions?

HAIG: Constitutionally, gentlemen, you have the President, the Vice President, and the Secretary of State, in that order, and should the President decide he wants to transfer the helm to the Vice President, he will do so. As of now, I am in control here, in the White House, pending the return of the Vice President and in close touch with him. If something came up, I would check with him, of course.

The Atlantic | Apr 2001 | The Day Reagan Was Shot | Allen

The above quote officially killed any hope Haig ever had for elected office...

Goody ! That means I won't have to labor anymore right? The guy in charge gets to oversee others that labor for him. I can use 4 to 8 years off.

Now tell folks the rest of the story Paul... about a certain "young" Wilfred Brimley lookalike hidden in this photo behind the back curtain in real control of national security!
