Anyone with a French heritage will...Horse meat has been on the menus of French restaurants for years...

It also used to be a staple in dog food...

I knew that the French liked horse meat but that it the French for you. Would not have thought enough Americans would enjoy it and I certainly would not endorse it as a food for the disadvantaged simply because it was more inexpensive.

I was just a bit shocked that this was hidden and passed. Americans don't have enough meat inspectors as it is so this will make the situation even more tenuous.
Also makes it more easy to have those slips where meat is mixed up and people unknowingly end up eating horse meat. Used to happed at fairs and such years back.

This will just add fuel to the PETA thing.

    Have a great evening

    Tom
