Thanks for the link Tim. Not sure when this testimony was given but I now think the Supreme's have clarified what the second amendment was all about. If you've not read Scala's comments, you should as it sights many historical references to the 2nd amendment and makes a very good case for self protection including what Gratia ended up saying, it is there to protect the citizenry against those in Washington.

I got a shiver when I watched that. Unfortunately, our politicians already have their minds made up. They know that the second amendment is there to protect us from them, that's what scares them more than anything.
Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
