Points: 0 | First Ever MU New England Members Get-Together! Sorry for such very short notice but don't say I didn't pre-warn you! The First Ever MU New England Delegation Members Get-Together is now officially on!!! This glorious event is to be held tomorrow night , Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at the Publick House Historic Inn located in beautiful Sturbridge, Massachusetts!!! Meet in the bar starting at or around 5:30 PM +++ Dinner at or around 6:00 PM (or when the last of any missing-but-expected members arrive!) Meet such crazy MU regulars as the dirt poor old Dougster™, the silly old tire-destroying, scrap steel-collecting Edster, our resident psychotherapist and general peacekeeper the Jayster and his wonderful wife (i.e., "SWMBO"), the tree killin', stump pullin', rock diggin' old Timster, my good old friend and backhoe mentor LarryRB and maybe even a guest appearance by the legendary and mysterious ex-spy Paul C!!! This will be an event you will not want to miss! Spouses are invited provided they are slightly crazy themselves and are able to put up with a whole lot of bullstuff, laughter and nonsense from a bunch of crazy old tractor nuts!!! Post publicly or PM the old Dougster™ for more information. It will pretty much be pay for what you eat and drink with the exception that the first round of drinks and all desserts will be on the poor old Dougster™ provided the Publick House will take his food stamps or let him wash dishes!!! I also personally promise to pay back all money I owe to members from whom I have previously borrowed. This event is open to ALL MU members (New England or otherwise) who can possibly make it as well as prospective MU members from other tractor-related forums and websites provided: 1) They aren't mods elsewhere who ever banned or otherwise dissed current MU members in good standing, and 2) They pick up the tab for all of the rest of us!!!

We tractor folks may "blend in" rather easily with the usual Wednesday night dinner crowd. Here are some photos I've gathered of the membership. Just look for these folks and I think we'll be okay!

Points: 69 | Do you also do wedding invitations ? you did a heck of a nice job Dougster!
I have had great times at the Publick house - and will feel like I'm missing out on a great opportunity..
I do hope we can re-schedule before the winter kicks in - and making an announcement like this is great for all to plan in advance.
I'm just warning those in advance - my consumption of fine food and excessive amounts of red wine, good beer are legendary (at least with me). Duc just keep in mind that those are all self portraits of Dougster.
Where in NY are you at? Looks like I will be spending a better part of the fall, winter and summer in Monticello, NY. | | | |
