    Default Bobcat of Houston

Bobcat of Houston is expanding. They are building a new dealership in Conroe, just a few miles down the road from me. I will be trying out all their line when they get open. Yippee!

No question that Bobcat makes some really great (and fun to operate) stuff! But it is awfully pricey in "brand spanking new" and I've never really found any bargains in "slightly used" at any of my local (i.e., MA, NH or CT) Bobcat dealers.

Still, it sure would be funny to see you trading in your trademark Big Red Beast for a new T320 skidsteer loader and some heated and air-conditioned Bobcat Mini-Ex!

    Now that would be NEWS!!!

I've been looking at skidsteers with envy in my heart for a few months now (Yes Dougster, I know ) Those Bobcats are nice units . Someday a used SS, that hasn't been destroyed or even harmed too badly, will be mine.

What can I say!.... I have a rich wish list....
You must know by now, I spend some of the little spare time I have lookin' an' wishin'. Obviously the cost of a good used, low hour, 8-10 thousand pound skidsteer is closer to my ability to make it so, than...oh..I don't know... say, a low hour 55 thousand dollar 30,000 lb track ex. The pond may have to wait. unless I lose what little sanity I have and buy one with 12k hours and is listed as "needing some TLC", or "it ran when parked"

Besides Doug we got plenty of time...years, almost anything can happen.

I do love that line in Craigslist ads for antique excavators: "It ran when we parked it six years ago"!!!

But I don't know Timster. I'm getting worried about you too!!! Yes, I worry about too many MU members! But on the bright side, your spending alone could help the economy enough to break the back of this national economic funk!!!

What the hell... GO FOR IT!!!

As fun and powerful as some of the Bobcat products are, it still takes two machines (skidsteer loader and mini-ex) and two operators and two trips each way to a jobsite to do the work of one Big Red Beast.

And the cost of buying "brand new" would be staggering.

Still, we will be watching closely to see if those "white-colored" machines appeal to you! Never say never! Who knows? The next "beast" you buy may have tracks and air-conditioning!
