Default Came across a slightly used Cat 262C skid steer

Came across a slightly used Cat 262C skid steer - with a good number of attachments - Backhoe, trailer (18ft), 3 & 1 bucket, sealed cab and about 100 hrs on the clock. Looks to be in real good condition, with 1 year left on the warranty

Its a take over payments thing or pay off the loan do hickie. Im trying to find out more info

anybody familar with these and is the price of 50k reasonable?

Sometimes the takeover payments plan is NOT a good idea...if the value of the unit has sunk below the cost of the loan...

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.

It's a VERY nice machine Duc... first class in every respect, assuming one wants/needs a wheeled skidsteer... but at almost 8,000 lbs it will be a little too heavy to tow around legally on a 10K trailer.

It's essentially brand new w/warranty and fully enclosed (maybe even with A/C)... but you are gonna pay dearly for that kind of luxury.

Personally, I'm looking for something a little older, much cheaper... and with tracks instead of wheels if at all possible.

Bottom line: If you can afford to spend $50K, your possibilities are almost limitless.

Well just as a rule of thumb taking over payments usually isn't a good idea especially when you can pay cash or get better % rates than the original loan.

I guess I have to determine (obviously) what the market value is of this machine and its attachments. He paid over 70k new at least

any ideas where or how I can get the street price for such a setup?

The cab is pressurized (a/c & heat), and 85 HP.

I will know more on monday about everything when I sit down with the owner.
