But the Odometer shows, 15k or something not believable.
Rental equipment hours are like 2... even 3 times privately-owned hours. The difference is amazing. In fact, I was looking at a near new 2007 or 2008 Yanmar VIO-27-5 the other day with 100 hours on it at a rental place (it was not for sale)... and it was already body damaged on all sides and the tracks were cut to bits. Such is life apparently in the equipment rental world.

He does not. Already PM'd him and received his reply.

I wish it were that easy. I'm laid-off 19 months now from my old engineering job (Thank you Al Gore!!!) and the little business I started to survive is not yet profitable. You need to be making money and paying income taxes in order to get income tax breaks. Clearly, I hope to become profitable with this addition to the "fleet"... but I'm already sitting on enough losses and depreciation to cover myself for this entire year and half of next year.

But the joy of the Kubota KX91-3 is threefold:

1) No new truck or trailer (or trailer upgrades) needed,
2) Maximum digging force in a 3/4-ton PU trailerable machine, and
3) Highest percentage resale value (important as I go bankrupt) in the entire market.

Meanwhile, another local used ex-rental machine has come back into the picture after the seller cut his asking price rather significantly. There are serious issues to be investigated and satisfactorily resolved with this particular machine... but it would fit the budget better (even if not nearly the machine that the Kubota is).

As I've noted before: Dirt poor, laid-off beggars cannot be choosers.

There are a few used ones out there. I think I mentioned earlier: I lost two in recent eBay "live" auctions and just today lost out on a "Best Offer" I had made on a steel-tracked unit in New York. But the KX91 is not exactly Kubota's most popular mini-ex model. There are far more KX121's and KX71's (and smaller) available in the used market. If I could tow a KX121, I could do a lot better (both in terms of purchase price and future job range). Even the new Kubota dealers I've called this week say that they only rarely carry a KX91-3 in stock. Go figure.

At this point, I believe I've contacted every seller of an on-line listed KX91 within at least 500 miles... and made offers where appropriate. You will find if you contact these people (if you actually manage to get through) that many of the machines listed for sale are no longer available. Even more bizarre: Some of the new dealers advertising that they have them in stock... really don't. They tell me they are advertising them in stock because some have been ordered.

Not good if you want a machine today.

They usually boast about it pretty good if it is a low-hour creampuff. Also, the asking price is right up there with the used KX91's I've found and it's no match for a Kubota product performance or value/resale-wise. This is a big issue with me right now given the "highly delicate" nature of my business situation.

did you ever stop to think that if Soros was bumped off, the world, particularly here in the US, would be much better,, for Dougster's sake, the dems would lose their money man.

I am very proud of the fact that old George has yet to successfully buy himself the American presidency even with all that money.
