I'm not a grass cutter and LC ain't a ditch digger! We could both benefit from superior hauling rigs tailored to our particular services and markets. The big difference is that LC has been far more successful than me and made it happen (and is to be highly commended for it!)... whereas I am still floundering rather badly here.

That beautiful truck can be the triaxle dump truck that you can load up with debris or dirt up to 20 to 40 yrds worth. Funny when I drive through Mass. I see lots of open farmland which can benefit from a setup like Lonecowboy's - you just haven't traveled much in your home state just kidding - but seriously you have farmland in Mass. I have seen it

Guess I'm late to the congratulation party LoneC. One other thing about that rig,....... it's got it's own mini get-away studio apartment. All the best................

So, used it for the first time on tuesday/wednesday. Had to mow a golf course. (no really, their rough is really rough, and of course all their mowers cut 1/2" off the ground (or lower), so they hired us to do it. Took a long time, but I bid it right.

Anyway, loaded in the pictures, we show up. Not enough room to turn around. The super says "umm, you really do have a big rig"

I told you so.

So, i do an alley dock and get it turned around (not bad for a rookie) and all the mechanics are coming out and saying "man, you gotta see this thing"

They were impressed.
Took 5 minutes to get everything off and we were mowing. Was very slick.

Wife said she wanted a sleeper so when we go 50/100 miles away, she can just go to sleep in back (instead of in the front seat like usual)

Oh, absolutely Fred! You can mow the same grass a hundred times and make super-megabucks... but you can only dig a ditch once!!!

Right after I win that PowerBall lottery Mickey! Just gotta win that damn lottery!

Wasn't even that much Larry! Fact is that you gotta be out Jay's way (Central/Western MA) to get that kind of property and mowing assignments like Lone is doing. Nothing like that anywhere around me.

I use to travel central-western MA quite a bit and still frequently go very near Jay's home at Leeds,, I still cannot remember seeing any fields much more than 7 or so acres that is opne for brush cutting. The new england farmer as we did know it, is long, long gone, replaced by housing developements.. New York state is where one can still find open land as far as the eyes can see...

Very, very few Larry... damn few left. In fact when the GF and I actually come upon one in our "poverty retirement home" shopping, our jaws drop... and immediately I'm back to thinking development potential!!!
