    Default Maine Trailer Registration?

    Anyone have info on this? I just got my bill for 160$ for my 10k trailer. Seems A LOT of people are using this "loophole" to register trailers on the cheap...just look at most OTR trucks and look at the plates on the trailer.

    Thank you for contacting the Secretary of State's office. Yes, Maine does register non-resident trailers for non-commercial use. If this is something you are interested in, please contact the Registrations Unit directly at (207) 624-9000 Ext. 52151.

    shoot, here in the land of OMG freaking outrageous registration fees, trailers are cheap.
    I think I pay like $40/year up to $92/year for the big Trail King 70 ton semi trailer.

    trucks and tractors are bleeping outrageous though.
