Default I found my vibrator

No, really, don't delete it just yet.
I've owned this truck since February 09.

Last week I noticed when the bed was up in the air that there was a motor attached to the frame.
"hey, I bet that's a vibrator" (for shaking the dump bed so everything falls out). Cool. I wonder if it works, I'll have to get it wired.

today, I'm working, I hit the wrong button, instead of rolling the tarp up THE ENTIRE TRUCK SHAKES.
Holy crap, what did I do? Shoot, I hope I didn't break anything.

go to dump and realize.

i KNOW WHAT THAT BUTTON IS.

Sure enough
I have a working vibrator.

who knew?

i do feel a little silly.

Cool pic attached.
that horse is 19,2 hands tall. That's right 19 hands. Tallest horse in Colorado. Enormous horse. Looks me in the eye when I'm driving the truck.

The ugly guy, well.........................

You may never know just how relieved I was to read the outcome of this story after the horrid mental image that the title created.

At any rate, a local paving contractor I know has a fleet of dump trucks w/vibrating beds to get sticky asphalt to slide out of the beds.

Had it not been for the fact you're married, there's a great opportunity there.......Go by any bar featuring a "ladies night" and offer free rides in your GIANT VIBRATOR, and see where that gets you...!

I showed my wife and kids the picture this morning, and they really enjoyed seeing the horse!!!.... Wife and daughter said they would be scared of it, and my 14-yo son said he would like to ride it.

Lone, If I lived near you I would take a load of that horse manure...... I got 3 loads from a guy last fall and I had to load it myself, and shovel it out in the garden..... It seems our soil is much better this year!!!
++++++++++++++++++++++
I have an ''off topic'' question:

Last year was the first time we put the horse manure in our garden.

Would it be good to put it in the garden ''every fall'' ??

Lone,

Also saw your web address on the truck door in the picture. Great site - very informative, clear and friendly. Not planning to advertise the Truck Vibrator, I'd imagine....

We use horse manure on the garden, but AFTER it spends a year or so in the compost pile. "Fresh" manure (of any kind) will tie up nitrogen while it rots. (Nitrates are busy breaking down the manure) After time, it'll add to the nitrogen level. But putting it on garden ground while still "hot" will effectively lower the USABLE nitrogen levels. Also, be careful to monitor your soil ph levels when using manure year after year. You MAY need to lime the soil occasionally. Beyond that, adding organic matter (such as manure) to garden ground is a GREAT idea.

Hey LC, is there a coin slot that needs to be fed to get that vibrator working?

Food for thought: No matter how bad you think things are in your life, Remember, somewhere out there, there is a Mr. Pelosi

Practice makes perfect: After many decade of hard work and practice, it now takes almost no effort to get tired.
